Young Picasso: Ages 6 - 10

Art for young artists aged 6 – 10 years. We have fun with our exploration of painting, collage, prints and sculpture. Children create images through exploring a variety of media and techniques. Using pencil, charcoal, paints, pastels, crayon & clay modelling, we explore form, colour and design. Children create images using quality materials to increase their confidence and discover their own artistic flair.

Welcome to Picassolino Art classes!

Remembering my art classes in school, I recall sitting on a chair, having to follow the teacher's instructions using only pencils and paint over and over again . You have similar memories?

Welcome to PicassolinoArt. My art classes are different: I am here to teach your child to have fun with art, using their creativity and introducing them to a wide selection of media and materials. I love using different kind of tools as well as introducing children to the artistic masters of our world. Showing them, how easily they can create these masterpieces with the right guidelines and inspiration. The focus is on creativity! After all ....

Focus

Each week we will focus on a theme or artist. There will be a short Power Point Presentation as well as examples of the art activitiy. These will be discussed with the group as a whole before we embark on our creative adventure and will give the session an aim, direction and focus.

Mini Picasso: Ages 4 - 5

Art for Mums and Kids, enjoy the magic of time together with your little one, creating art, exploring materials and making a mess that you don’t have to clear up! Mini Picasso is specifically designed to engage and delight KG children 4 - 5 years.

The emphasis is to introduce a number of art concepts in a fun explorative way with caregivers on standby to encourage and assist as each student undertakes two or three projects per class. Educational and motivating with focus on learning on line, shape and colour. A great time to get messy, play, explore and create.

... a drawing is simply a line going for a walk ......

Paul Klee (1879 - 1940), Swiss-German

Every child is an artist.

The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.
